From my experience, you want good quality. Don't go knock off for painters tape.

At costco at downsview (beside yorkdale) they had scotts green tape 3 pack for 9.97, not ad good as frog tape but its close

Frog Tape is good, but if your use case requires an absolutely perfect line try running a bit of caulk along the tape line and then paint over it. I do this when I have a design that requires two colours to intersect and it creates a perfect line.

Hmmmm, that's an interesting tip, will have to try that. I have a few walls that are next to each other that are painted different colours and the lines can be crisper.

I have tried all painter's tape and Frog Tape has been the best in my experience. Worth the extra money.
