So for Triangle mastercard, it is $700 - 12% = $616 + 13% tax in Ontario = $696

Is this a good price? Or does it frequently go on sale on amazon/costco?

I believe you have to pay tax on $700 and get CT money back $84 into your CT account.

Amazon had this for $650 back in June 2021 (amazon-ca-irobot-roomba-i7-7550-robot-v ... 9-2468928/). This was before the new model (J7+) was announced.

If you have Triangle rewards then it is a decent deal right now. But otherwise I would wait for Black Friday/Boxing Day for clearance pricing on the i7+ model now that there's a new one on the horizon.

Bought an i8 a few weeks ago which is pretty similar to the i7. Compared to my older 980 I’m not real impressed. I feel the 980 cleaned way better and got stuck way less. The i8 however is very quiet which may allow you to run it more often I guess. Also the clean button on the top seems to not work very well where I find my self kicking it off via the app on a off schedule run.

If it does im really glad I didn’t go with the i7. The amount the i8 doesn’t pick up compared to my 980 is amazing. Also the quality seems to be much cheaper in build quality. The only think it has going for it is how quite it is and some of the advanced mapping.

It just has a larger battery capacity. Not more suction.

Whats the difference between i7 and i7+? Is it worth spending $200 more?

Don't just look at the very first link that comes up when you google it and trust it.
Just do a tiny bit more dilegence and maybe some iRobot responses or links.

The i7 and i8 are virtually identical besides the i8 having a 20% larger capacity and some differences in accessories that come with it.

Thinking of getting one to try.
Is it non-returnable at CT due to being a "clearance" item?

No, 90 days return or exchange as usual . I got one yesterday and confirmed it.
