[Canadian Tire] Mastercraft 3/4-in Drive Socket Set, 20-pc; $149 after 50% off

Good reviews on this set. Won't be useful to everyone/your home DIYer. I'm an apprentice Heavy Duty mechanic but for how often I use them at work vs 1/2 sockets, I would never justify spending $1000 on a SnapOn set.

Just a reminder that the Canadian Tire flyer starts on different days in different regions. So, this sale ended yesterday, March 23rd, for many of us.

I don't know if the split is East-West but this deal is still on in Ontario but not Manitoba (for example).

Sale is still on in BC.

I typically avoid the regular Mastercraft branded tools though. They used to be ok but now they're cheap crap and Maximum is the only brand that I consider worth buying. I'm not expecting Snap-On/Knipex/Wera quality; Mastercraft is only a couple notches above Dollar Store quality these days.

Man, that ratchet looks awfully cheap and short for a 3/4" drive set...... worst thing you want when using 3/4" drive stuff is to have a ratchet slip or something, although you'll probably be using the T handle and a longgggggg pipe most of the time.

The 6 point Grip brand are about $80 on sale. That is what I use, and a 40" breaker bar.

The 50% off and good reviews on the Mastercraft set caught my eye, but an $80 set would be even more appealing
