[Canadian Tire] Mastercraft Mitre saw stand $89.99

Back on sale if you're looking for a stand.

Also came across another one sold through Walmart:
ToolMaster Mitre Saw Horse Rolling Stand
$89.99 (Regular Price)

Looks similar to the Mastercraft, but has a higher weight capacity(700 vs 300 lbs) and weighs 5lbs less.

Perfect timing. FIL just bought the Mastercraft mitre saw last week from the sale. Great fathers day gift!

I don't see any wheels on that rolling stand - and it says it says it can hold up to 400 pounds, but also claims to have a 700 pound capacity.

I had the mastercraft stand for a while and it served it's purpose just fine. I don't think it's worth much more than $100 though so don't let the $199 price influence your decision to buy. I doubt by now I even need to mention it in regards to mastercraft products, but just in case...

The rollers appear to be apart of the extensions(top), unlike other stands where they are mostly fixed in place. Doesn't specify being a mobile unit like the RIDGID one that was apart of the free stand deal last week.

and no idea about the capacity either, 400 or 700 lbs, either way better then the 300lbs on the mastercraft one.

Pretty decent stand, also got it on sale when i got the 12 in dual bev 2ish years back. Both for half off...As others have said half off should be its regular price

i cant see a 300 or 400 lb max being an issue with wood...if your cutting some big steel pieces or something with a chop saw shop setup. For sure would wanta diff type of setup that would be obvious
The rollers would be nice to have tho thats for sure

Ah, makes sense now.

My thinking is if it has a higher weight capacity(and weighs 5 lbs less), it's maybe a better quality product then the known quality of a Canadian Tire Product.

I have this stand. Probably the most sturdy thing i've ever bought from crappy tire. If you dont need/want rollers on it, the stand is fantastic, even at regular price.

Yes, have this exact combination. It works just fine with the 12in Dewalt DWS779 and would assume it's universal to fit other brands as well.

I have the MC stand (it is sturdy and works OK), and the corded Ryobi 10" slider mitre saw TSS102L.

The saw is a little too big to perfectly fit the mounting brackets that are with the stand. I could have made the brackets fit by drilling them but I figured that might weaken them. Instead I made an adapter plate from a rectangular piece of 1/2" plywood and 4 additional nuts and bolts. The Ryobi stand would be a perfect fit but was overpriced when I was looking for a stand about 3 years ago.
