Yeah the normal sale price as of 2 years ago was $30, haven't looked lately but can't be more than $40. Canadian Tire clearance prices are usually pretty terrible.

I think the normal sale price is $40 as of about 6 months ago but it probably hits $35 periodically.

There doesn't seem to be any indication that it's a clearance price. Just a typical 70% off mastercrap "sale"

These are fine for those of you who work on dead tree carcasses, and working on something where you need to "brass off" the bit like on acrylic or brass.

If your working with any type of metal on a regular basis, invest in a quality set like Cle Line, Triumph, or Norseman. You'll be much better off with 1 quality bit than 6 cheapo's

They are absolutely terrible drill bits.
Even at $40 it's hardly worth it, buy a real set of Drills and you won't need 12 of each size.

These are worse than nothing as they break off in whatever you are trying to drill, making it impossible to drill even with a good bit after.

As others have mentioned, unless you are using this for very light duty stuff (not sure what that could be, metal is metal); these aren't even worth it at this price. Because they get dull, and break quickly and just waste your time.

Everything at China Tire is made to be sold at 50 -60% off. That bit set goes on sale often at $29.99
