I couldn't see myself considering these over a regular Milwaukee M18 set. Its similarly priced, are these actually comparable?

The mastercraft batteries will be dead after 2-3 years, when you go to buy replacement batteries they will have changed the design. At least with Milwaukee and Dewalt replacement batteries would be available for 10 years, can even get aftermarket ones on Amazon
