Check your offer, there is a spend 30 and get 5 in ct money in my account.

Not sure if I can redeem 40 ct money and still get this 5 bonus or it has to be a credit card purchase to get it.

Take a look at where the midsole meets the sides or the toe cap; either excess glue leaked out or the moulding of the midsole wasn't trimmed well, or at all. Then consider that this was the best shoe that CT could pick out of a box to take photos of for the product page.

Cheap shoe is cheap, it's value engineered to be a $40 shoe including profit. Previous poster doesn't need to feel the fine grain of the all synthetic material to know that it's going to let you down too soon.

Outbound is known to be low quality, especially footwear. If this is just going to be your dog walking pair of shoes, or something you don't use much/backup, it might be fine, though...

Wouldn't rely on these to go for any kind of real hike.
Can you spare some cutter, me brother?

Don't get these if you are actually hiking up a mountain. For urban "hiking" these should be fine.

Looking for some light yard work shoes. I think these will do fine.
If you're happy, and they're unhappy....it was a good deal.

No, they're not. Sort by Most Helpful and you'll find plenty of negative reviews.

I don't think I ever bought anything in Canadian Tire at full price. Is this good enough to break that streak?

These are pretty poor quality. My father got these and they're not very comfortable or durable.

Buying footwear from Canadian Tire is like buying footwear from Walmart... Don't expect much.

Better to get a pair of actual hikers from a better brand.

I think for $40 it's a good deal. You don't expect a pair of $40 boots the same as $100 ones.
Of course you can pay more and get a better pair.

You are right. And you don't criticize a $40 pair of boots (that's Yellow shoes territory) for excess glue!
I mean those are boots on your feet, not glasses in your face.
Click on the image in post #1 and try to locate excess glue. Really?

Nope. You must charge $30 to credit card to get the bonus. Redemptions don't count unless you are able to charge $30 after redemption of CT $

These are not bad for the price at all, but as others have pointed out, it's been cheaper at $29.99.

I'd bite at that price.
