be aware that CT MSRP prices are a joke .They never sold a single one at $100 lol , this is probably more of a 20% off

Paderno and CT are a match made in heaven. Super high MSRP with super big discounts.

Does anyone have experience with this pan?

We bought this pan and returned it, the finish wasn’t nice it wasn’t polished right, it was rough so it would have not taken a seasoning nicely. Sometimes a deal isnt a deal.

My wife recently told me about something on sale at CT.

I told her the RFD view that 50% off at CT equals regular price elsewhere and 70% off enters a sale price zone.

Upvote because everyone needs a good cast iron pan. 10” is on the small size, would have loved to see the 12” for the same discount ($30).

Keep it seasoned and it will treat you well for years.

Is the Lodge pan on Amazon really worth $15 more?

Guess it depends whether made in USA vs made in China is important to you. There won’t be much else different. Probably less chance of toxic metals in a Lodge pan.

Paderno use to be an amazing company. Located in PEI, they made quality, long lasting products.

Then they sold to Canadian Tire.

Ever since it's been all crap.

12" and 8" Lodge cast iron skillets are $39.97 and $19.97 respectively at Walmart.

Bought one 12" and two 8" ones yesterday and going through seasoning right now. Time will tell how this will go.

What do you mean by "it wasn’t polished right"? The main selling point of this seems to be that the interior is polished, as opposed to other pans (eg. lodge) that's rough. Supposedly antique (several decades old) pans used to be polished and that helped it stick less. Later on cheaped out and omitted that step, leaving with the rough pans we have today.
