[Canadian Tire] Pennzoil Synthetic Engine Oil

Pennzoil synthetic oil comes up for sale a few times a year at Canadian Tire. Its on again until Feb 8.
The mail in rebate still applies: http://www.pennzoil.com/en_ca/promotion ... E4L2NhLw==

I know that someone will post that there are other places that may have the same item for the same price or even cheaper, example: Walmart. But if Canadian tire is close to you and there is no Walmart, this is a good deal. The last time I checked, last year, the Walmart jugs were 4.7 liters. The Canadian tire jugs are 5 liters

Before buying, make sure the jugs anti tamper cap has not been opened.

I actually tried to pick this up at Part Source today for $30 but didn't realize it closes at 8PM. Today was last day of sale. If no where else has it cheaper, I may pick this up at CT.

I haven't confirmed in person yet, but Walmart is listing the 4.73 liter jug for $26.88 online.

The rebate form states the 4.73L qualifies the same as a 5L.

I'm hoping to grab 4 jugs tomorrow.

walmart has it on special at 17 something once per year, so that's not a really hot deal...
Paying full price for an item is a sin.

Does that include the 0w-20 ? OP's price is the best I have even seen for 0w-20.

So the price becomes $23 after the mail in rebate?

As I wrote in the first post, there may be lower prices elsewhere, but if those places are not near you, then this is a decent deal.

Do you need to get these purchases in separate receipts for the MIRs. There is a limit of 4 per household.

Nope, they can all be on the same receipt!

I called and verified this when I did it on their 2017 promo in November - and I just received my $40 cheque less than 2 weeks ago.

Just FYI, these might go 45% off at some point as well. At least they have in the past, and most recently November 2017.

I know there's no time machine but it's just a heads up for anyone willing to wait and save a few more bucks!

What's the difference between buying from CT and partsource? Will pm bring down the price 10% like home center?

Yes they give 10% back in CTire money and for me personally, CT location is closer.

I tried PM at CT yesterday during waiting for my wife. The lady refused PM as the flyer of Partsource shows 0W-20, and she said it gotta be exactly the same to do PM.

Please mind my ignorance, what's the difference between the platinum (synthetic) and the conventional? Will there be any value added if the platinum is used with a 10 year old car?
