[Canadian Tire] Purgerme (hand sanitizers that kills Covid19) 4L - $49.99 (YMMV)

This is a new hand sanitizer at CT. This company claimed it will kill Covid19.

This is an actual hand sanitizer. Gel type. Not liquid type Pokémon.

When you see "COVID-19" on the product label, you know they're trying to milk it.

$12.5 per L....is that a good price?

At 12.50 per litre, price seems OK

I expect the price and availability of most of the Covid panic buying products to improve over the next few weeks.

I expect 80% of the population not to be buying TP over the next year...

Definitely. $12.5 is okay.

Before crisis =
Purell = $12/L
No brand name = $8/L
Costco = N/A

Now =
Purell = $28/L
No brand name = around $10-$15/L

Costco = $8/L

Price is not bad, just sucks thats its 4L bottles. I think 1L sizes are more ideal.

Considering some places are selling 4L for $79.99 this is not bad.
A good deal and an opportunistic product / seller can mutually co-exist.

Sit tight, walmart is coming out with their own under their own private Equate label. Lockdown likely ends in Mid june for Ontario so it isnt far away. No need to panic buy this stuff because it is becoming more widely available in coming weeks.

Price is decent. I expect the availability will be worse as provinces open back up and businesses will buy up all of it for their staffs.

Damn 4L

I just picked up a 1L hand sanitizer from Safeway for $13.99 Accurte brand. Liquid type isoproypol alcohol 70% Good enough and 1L will last me a long time.

I went with the triton 20l because it was 80% alcohol and you get $25 GC back for that promo.
Alcohol content will eventually evaporate and you get just a bit more shelf life with 20% compared to 10% of the 70alc.
(60%+ for covid)

If times do get dire... I'll have longer shelf life before thinking about ingesting.
