[Canadian Tire] Rustoleum Never Wet 11.93$ Canadian Tire

Hello All,

Rustoleum Never Wet Kit, on Clearance at Canadian Tire locations down from 24.99 to 11.93$
Many stores have none left but if you check stock you can find stock elsewhere. I found a local store with 7 in stock.
I've been meaning to try this stuff out, as I've seen some incredible videos on Youtube. I want to spray the kids gloves and see if they can finally come home dry for once, same for Winter Boots.
At 12$ i'll give it a try.

If anyone has tried it, let us know if its any good.

Thanks.

Eric.

Canadian tire has the worst return service. Do not buy from them.

The returns at Sheppard and Leslie have been good for me.

Why do you say that? I've returned tons of stuff, some even lightly used with never an issue.

Neverwet looks awesome, but apparently the coating doesn't last long.

Stock and price check: https://stocktrack.ca/?s=ct&q=067-0011-6
Can also order online and pick up in-store to make sure they actually have it. Shipping is not available seems like.

HAMILTON MT.EAST, ON has 64 in stock for $6.24

I have wondered about this product. If it doesn't last long that sucks.

I've also not had any return problems at the dozen or so stores i have been to over the years

It's quite usual for some CT stores to have a different clearance price.
Some other stores that sell a bit cheaper:

Code: Select all

RENFREW, ON	$9.25	2
ST. GEORGES, QC	$9.93	2
BRIDGEWATER, NS	$8.93	12
HUMBOLDT, SK	$9.93	29
ANTIGONISH, NS	$9.97	2

You can use dubbin wax for boots. That helps with increasing waterproofing. Though for winter gear I grab the waterproof boots from mountain warehouse for my kid. Been pretty good so far and feet are dry.

As for gloves...good luck! LOL...I don't mean that rudely. Even I can't keep my gloves dry when playing in the snow/rain (I ski in all conditions). Even after spraying with the waterproofer like nikwax or grangers they still get saturated with water. Mine are MEC gloves with a goretex membrane to keep dry. Prior to that I had some columbia titatnium gloves. Even those got wet but they still are the best gloves I ever had...warm and comfortable even when wet. Unless your goretex layer or whatever membrane has 20k or more waterproof rating, it'll be soaked in no time in inclement weather. My kid has gloves and they were claimed to be waterproof....soaked through as she skied with me the other day in monsoon rain! A lot of the waterproofing is in the fabric and not coating spray.

I wouldn't use this stuff on waterproofing your clothing. Might clog the fabric and not breathe well. Not good to wet out inside. I know the price seems cheap but a bottle of that spray nikwax isn't that much more. Or if you don't want a spray the wash in works as well. I have both wash in and spray (in Nikwax and grangers...both work well).

Tried this stuff a couple years ago
. Works great but wears off clothing and footwear very quickly. More of a neat toy than a useful product
