[Canadian Tire] Simoniz 8" Dual-Action Polisher and Waxer - $41.99 (Reg $69.99)

Not sure if this is at all CT's, I saw this at my local one. Lots in stock, doesn't seem like people buy these at all. I'm not sure how good they are but I've been eyeing them for months, can anyone comment on the quality?

I have one and would say it's only OK, for the money it's great if you just want to apply some wax. It does not have the power needed to do any real polishing and the large pad size is cumbersome unless your dealing with large flat panels all the time.

I have gone on to purchase a 6 inch Porter Cable variable speed polisher as the smaller pad size is more manageable, better power (for paint correction) and features.

This is more of a wax applicator than a polisher lol...

I think these might have had a use in the past but honestly now a days I can't think of a decent application. For most cars you would probably get away with a good spray wax. They won't have enough power to do any meaningful paint correction.

Still plenty of good paste waxes out there but they are all usually better for hand application...
