40x is 16%, so on $200 that's $32, which is a lot less than the $50 two weeks ago!
i guess they are not going to keep incrementing the bonus money by $10 every week any more! lol

In the flyer it says $200 purchase, in the TOS it says minimum $150+? Without triangle Mastercard, this is like half of the reward compared to last time

The flyer has an extra bonus of 20x on a lot of categories. Ends up being 60x plus whatever bonus you can get on the weekly app. If you have a 25x for the category with a flyer bonus and CT MasterCard ends up being 38% back in CT money. Spending what you need this is a better deal than the flat $ back.

I’ve heard differing stories but do you still get the $ off or point bonuses if you redeem CT dollars?

Some offer need you to have a single transaction of >200 or >250. It can be through CT money or any other. Cannot be combination, as they consider it be two different transactions. When I paid partially by CT money and partially with CC, I didn't earn the bonus 50 dollars few weeks back. However I earn regular points even with CT money.

You do get all the bonuses with gift cards. You may be thinking of store credits, but I think even that has changed.

Does anyone know how you earn points? I'm new to Triangle. There's nowhere on the website that states what the ratio is for earning points. Like... what's 30x based on? If I spent $200, how many points do I earn both incl. and excl. the 30x?

You only earn points on pre-tax purchases.

The 30x is non-category meaning it can be anything. CT offers almost always stack meaning it will stack with a category based offer (eg: 10x or 25x off clothing), and will also stack with a cashback offer (eg: $10 off $50)

To figure out how much cashback 30x is, 1x = 0.4... so 30x is (0.4 * 30) = 16% back in points

Gotcha, thanks! So basically - normally for every $1 I spend at CT, I would get back 0.4% or $0.004 (0.4 cents) in CT money. With a 30x bonus, that $1 would now generate $0.12 in CT money rewards (or 12% back), correct? 0.4 x 30 = 12.

This deal (40x with triangle card) is better then last week when spending over $375 which is the break-even point at $60 back.

Might want to put that in the op instead of stating last week was better. It is bases on what people intend to buy. For those shopping for a set of winter tires at $1000, they get $160 back (vs $60 last week)

Looking to buy about $600-$700 in Canadian Tire gift cards... would this work on that if I purchase with my Triangle Mastercard? Looks like it does from some of the other posts in the thread... can anyone confirm?

And would there be a better way to do this?
