This may get asked in every thread when a deal like this comes around, but I read through the T&S and don't think it was mentioned so just wondering if someone here who has done this before may know. Are you still eligible to receive the bonus CT money if you use CT money in the purchase? I.e. if I buy something for $200 before tax, redeem $120 in CT money and spend $80 cash in the purchase, is that purchase eligible for the bonus amount?

Thanks all.

Last time they had this promotion. I spent $210. I earned the flat bonus + the one from my personalized offers. Ending up getting over $70 back on a pre tax $210 purchase.

If your full payment is with CT money, then you will earn the bonus. See this older thread for other people's experiences.

Just reminder that these offers are stackable, with personalized offers, triangle mastercard, and triangle select.

For an item at exactly $200, the $40 is 20% back or 50x points(in case you are comparing to the usal 20x, 30x, 40x). This deal is less desireble for higher priced items, since you are getting $40 back regardless of whether you are spending $200 or $2000. A $500 spend, it become 8% or (20x points equivalent)

I understand that not everyone likes to shop at CT, but when playing the points system right, there is a lot of free money there to grab. I've used them to redeem high priced/quality items (i.e iRobot, Dyson, etc)

Can I get this more than once in the same day on multiple $200 purchases?

For instance say I buy a kitchen appliance for $200+ and get the $40 cashback will I also get another $40 cashback if I buy another $200 of merch?

Is CT best place to buy bikes for kids? Need a new bike for my son (8 years) and was wondering if this is a good offer to pull trigger.

They don't have many kids' bikes listed on their website. For an 8 year old, you're probably looking at a 16" or 18" bike and the only one they have is $249.99 on sale. [Edit: Oh, never mind... they do have more listed there. https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/sports-r ... bikes.html ... A little bit higher overall than Toys R Us prices.]

Toys R Us has lower prices and a wider selection. https://www.toysrus.ca/en/toysrus/Categ ... /16--Bikes

But personally, my favorite place to buy a kids bike is Kijiji. Go to Walmart/CT/TRU to have your son sit on a few bikes to check out what size is right. Then look for those size bikes on Kijiji...you can probably find decent condition ones for half the price of the same new bike. I got my son's current Trek bike used for a great price.

It should. I've done it before, several orders just over the amount to maximize the CT money back.

Did this in the past for this promo. Not sure if they fixed it but make sure the purchase goes through on day of or you will/may have to follow up to get your $$.

I did this once by placing 4 separate tire orders. CT employee looked at me funny when I went to pickup the order. but yes I got the money for each order. so it did work, this was 6 months ago or so for winter tires.

Good to know and thanks for confirming.

I just finished ordering 4 tires in separate transactions. I also have 25x points when purchasing tires as well as extra $10 CT money for every $50 spent in my Triangle Rewards. Here's hoping they all stack.

CT money would show on receipt if purchase in store, what about purchase online? Just submitted one order. Hope I could get stacked rewards.
