People rave about this but I absolutely hate this thing. I bought it and immediately went back to my normal one.

would you please share why? This is the best can opener I ever had. You have to take into consideration that the can's cover edges are not sharp after opening, but the top of the can is. They call it "Securimax" but there is still sharp edges after opening a can

I also bought one of these.. because of all the hype it generated on RFD...

however because I am lazy, I still end up going back to using my one-touch automatic can opener

Is this trolling?

You have an automatic one touch opener and decide to buy this manual one to piss away money?

Do you want some $450 $GME shares to go with your new can opener too?

at near $2 per liter of gas, not if you end up spending $5 in gas! Take into consideration that if you are not a Prime member there is shipping fees if you buy from Amazon. Buying at CT may save you more than $2 ;)

Not an “Eastern deal” it’s a ‘Mixed pricing deal”:
- $12.99 and $25.99 in AB, SK, ON;
- $12.99 in QC, MB, NL;
- $25.99 in BC, NB, NS, PEI.

Great product, like all Starfrit.

Maybe if someone would upload a receipt, they would price match? Does Canadian Tire do that?

We bought one about 5 years ago to replace our "Old school" opener. Literally, the only time the new one ever gets used is when the old one can't be found, or is in the dishwasher.

got one of these during a sale in the summer, and realize i rarely eat food from cans.. but for when i do have my corn soup it works. does it work much better than a normal can opener? probably not by a huge margin.

Being old and wise i.e. having life experience... Yes! It never misses.
You know the garbage ones that fall off the can when you start turning the knob once every three cans?
Not Securimax. Totally worth $13. Buy it once in a life time.
