Canadian Tire store notices for Ontario

Dear valued customer,

Over the past several months, we’ve all been facing unique challenges when it comes to navigating the pandemic, including the adjustments we’ve had to make regarding our health and safety. With the recent COVID-19 provincial government restrictions announced in Ontario, we are again adjusting the way we serve you.

Starting December 26 until January 23 in southern Ontario and January 9 in northern Ontario, our Canadian Tire stores will be closed to In-Store Shopping and limited to Curbside Pick Up or Ship to Home. Please note that during the lockdown, we will not be accepting returns. For purchases where the 90-day returns window expires during the lockdown, we will offer a 15-day extension to return items when stores re-open.

Canadian Tire Auto Service Centres and Gas+ locations in Ontario will continue to operate. To book an Auto Service appointment, please click HERE.

To see the precautions we are taking to support the safety and well-being of employees and customers, please visit corp.canadiantire.ca/COVID19.

On behalf of the Canadian Tire family, we hope you are enjoying a safe and happy holiday season and we look forward to welcoming you into our stores again soon.

Wait hold up how extensive is Ontario's lockdown?

CT never had to close in Manitoba, there's just products they're not allowed to sell.

All of Ontario is locked down effective December 26. Northern Ontario is locked down for a minimum of 14 days, the rest of Ontario is locked down for a minimum of 28 days. For the longest time, Canadian Tire being a hardware store was allowed to stay open for in-person shopping. Now the province says hardware stores can only be open for curbside pickup.
