If you're not sure if it's a good deal or not... I would not post it in Hot Deals...

There are discussion forums for this reason.

Even at $150, not hot. Princess auto most of this stuff if you are just doing seasonal tire changes.

This goes on sale tomorrow for $150, hence the OP's post. Website still shows the $299 price.

Anyway, I shop at Canadian Tire regularly, so here's one thing you should know: their "sales" are always exaggerated. It's not truly "50% off".

Let's see what you get withthis kit:
a breaker bar - you can get these on sale at Crappy Tire for $15
a torque wrench - you can get these at Princess Auto/Crappy Tire for $40-$50ish?

So, $150 sale price, minus $15 for the breaker bar, minus $50 for a torque wrench = $85. For $85, you're paying for 5 sockets and a crummy flashlight. Thus, this is a terrible deal.

Plus when it breaks in 11 months and your receipt is totally faded they'll deny your exchange since it's Dewalt and could be sold elsewhere! Even though it likely isn't sold elsewhere in this same exact kit.

It is nice to have everything in one box. That is only good thing about this set. But you are paying too much for it.

24" breaker bar $15 on sale at CT or Princess Auto
Click type torque wrench $25 at PA
Small socket set $10 at PA
Have too many phones... This is how I limit my monthly phone payment.
Public Mobile $36 5GB, $12 250MB, 2x $6 50min/50text, Fido $5 4GB data only plan with a free tablet,
Zoomer $36 loyalty 4GB plan, $0 FPL home phone.

You are forgetting the case, maybe with a big Dewalt logo. It will impress your neighbors and friends, that you cannot put a price on :-)

You're better off getting this torque wrench and breaker bar combo... You'll still need the socket that you probably already have in another set... This combo goes on sale rarely for 70% off around fathers day I think, and much more often at 60% off.

I got my torque wrench at PA for $15. This is probably the only thing people are missing to do tire changes themselves. The car comes with a jack and the wrench to loosing/tighten the nuts. Maybe buy a stand and even a better hydraulic jack (got my 2-ton jack for $30).

Anyway, no need to pay $300 or $150 for this. It's not a good deal.

Or skip the breaker bar and get a ratcheting breaker bar. The Cdn Tire one goes on sale a few time a year for around $15.

Those jacks are called widowmakers for a reason. Other than emergencies, I would not trust the jack in the trunk. If you're changing tires seasonally, get a proper jack and at least one stand.
