[Canadian Tire] Triangle Mastercard Limited Time Referral Sign-up Promo: Each gets $25CT + FRANK Gift Box

Just got an email about a limited time referral promo. If you invite a friend to apply for no annual free Triangle card then each of you get $25 in Canadian Tire money and a gift box full of FRANK products.

Check your inbox to see if you got your unique code to give your friend.

I put the deal URL as a screenshot of the promo, as to not violate the referral code spam rule.

I'm finding the Triangle ecosystem to be useful, especially with the promos (70% off at SportsChek, 20x points days, etc). You can usually offset the higher markups at Canadian Tire with the CT money.

I'm not sure if it's their store brand, but, all along the cash registers there are chips, candy, nuts etc that are all FRANK brand. Some pretty tasty stuff too!

Not to mention the 5c/litre discount at CTC gas bars and, if this offer applies to their World Elite card, free auto club. Plus, for the truly brave or foolish, the free oil change at a Canadian Tire Auto Centre. Also, get the Triangle app. Now that I have the card I get a 'spend $50, get $10 in bonus Canadian Tire money' offer almost every week for CTC, Sportchek and Mark's

A couple important notes from the email:

EARN $25 Bonus CT Money† + a FRANK gift box when your friend applies, activates and uses their Triangle credit card for the first time by August 21, 2021!*
SURPRISE! REPEAT: Keep inviting your friends and you can receive up to $75 in Bonus CT Money + 3 FRANK gift boxes.

* Successful referrals are defined as an approved cardmember that has applied by July 22, 2021 and made a purchase by August 21, 2021. Cardmember will be rewarded $25 bonus CT Money and FRANK™ surprise gift box for a maximum of 3 successful referrals.

Seems like a great deal for both parties as each of us would get something (the person with the referral code and the person using the referral code). Just make sure to watch those timelines to make sure you make a purchase in time.

One benefit I like is free shipping at Sport Chek for purchases over $10. It claims that may end come August 31 but no idea if they'll extend it beyond. Also the bill payments are a great way to pay bills that do not accept credit card payments and earn rewards.

Got in my inbox thanks for the reminder OP

Another great feature (with the world elite) is the free premium tier roadside assistance included. (Tows to any garage, not just CT). saves me $100 a year on that alone, plus the promos and extras are handy.

This is very YMMV depending on where you live. For instance in the City of Toronto, they won’t accept property taxes payment from anything other than a bank (no credit cards).

Have had this card for a few years and it's been great, especially with no annual fee.

Thought it was a bunch of RedHot at first Grinning Face With Smiling Eyes

Anyways I think $25 is rather weak for a new CC signup, unless the gift box is really epic.

This definitely works, have been doing it for years. Absolutely no issues paying Toronto property taxes with this card. Payments made through the payments portal are treated by the receiver more like a bank payment than a credit card payment.

It is weak, ppl better off waiting for $75 and $100 ctm sign up promos that pop up sporadically

Hell
Personally, $25 is peanuts. Walmart, Amazon, Wayfair all offer this bonus. No thanks. And who wants Canadian Tire no name chips? About half the time I go into Canadian Tire, I am accosted by a triangle card pusher. See what they have to offer first; before selling your soul to the triangle cult for $25 and a box of crap. Maybe you are about to spend 2k and the card pusher is offering you 15% off your first purchase...that's $300. 10%...$200. You get the idea. (And yes, their rewards program is good. Get in when you have to.)
