[Canadian Tire] Yardworks 15A Electric Snowblower, 22-in - $169.99

I've been waiting for a deal on a 15amp Snowblower with metal blade. Was going to go for a SnowJoe SJ627E, but this looks like a rebrand of that same model.

In the flyer that starts Nov 26, this is $169.99
On the same page in the flyer is a 12/3 Outdoor extension cord for $39.99 for 50 foot.

its 16/3 from princess auto which you are not suppose to use with 15 Amp machine. you should use 12/3 that OP posted

I picked up a SnowJoe SJ619E from Home Depot last year ... 18" 14.5A ... $198 ... guess I didn't get a deal (it was on sale though).

I use a 12/3 100' (orange extension cord bought from Costco) for my snowblower. It's lengthy ... but I have it coiled up on a hook by the outlet ...

To be safe, use something heavier gauge.
With 15a, go with at least 14 if not 12 gauge.

Some review are complaning about side bearing got broken within first year of use.
If it metal/steel blade, I wouldn't use this on paver.

How does this compare to the SnowJoe SJ627E ?
One thing I noticed that the SnowJoe is ~15 KG while this is 33.9 KG ... more than double !!!

Any feedback on Yardworks warranty would also be helpful....

The specs on the product page are wrong. If you look at the User Manual PDF, it says "Weight: 36 lb 8 oz (16.68 kg)".

So it's similar, but not the same. There are other differences, too - 2700 rpm (Yardworks) vs 3000 rpm (Snow Joe), 30 ft throw distance vs 27 feet, 12" clearing depth vs 13", etc.

Overall, there's not anything that makes one shine against the other. I would probably choose based on reviews and warranty coverage.

Having trouble figuring out if this would do the trick for me... I live on Quebec and a truck takes care of my driveway. I would use this for walkways and making some room in the yard for the dog and kids. I have only known gas powered snowblowers... My gas powered snowblower is drying on me. Any advice?

I gotta say, I have been thinking of getting a snow blower (electric, gas or battery). Every year, I go thru the same motion....want one, So close in buying one and then remorse and never end up with one.
This year, I got a back pack blower for cleaning my yard in in the summer and fall. Tried to use it to blow snow and did I ever love it. Yes, it is not useful during deep snow fall. But it is definitely a GREAT addition to my snow removal tool. But unlike a snow blower, it is only 1 purpose.
