long story short... Bought something. got like 25$ bonus can tire money. 2 weeks later used that bonus money to buy something else.. 2 weeks later returned the first item. I was sure they would remove the $25 I had used from that return and didn't mind because I used it but it just created a minus on my account.

I've returned stuff i bought with cdn tire money, and they couldn't put the money back on my card, just ended up giving me cash back. This was years ago, so not sure if that's changed.

Yeah it happened to me before and they deducted the Can tire money from the refund amount. Again I have nothing to complain about because I used it but this time I asked and they said I would get it as a minus.
It's kind of a weird thing because I can imagine someone taking advantage of a a big bonus X canadiantire money on a 1000$+ purchase then using the Can tire money, returning the item and just ditch the point card lol.

I'm still using mine. I have the Triangle Mastercard. I don't mind really I rarely shop at Canadiantire and their CC is not my main CC for points etc.. It will just take time to give it back

Yup... today got $5 CT $ after gas fill up using original but rarely used CT mastercard [offer said needed to spend at least $20].
Few minutes before that bought some paper products, clr, transmission fluid at store and redeemed for 20% bonus CT $ [pre tax] using CT WE mastercard.
Then went to RCSS and got 3% on groceries using TD CB.
2022: BOC raised 8 times and MCAP raised its prime next day. 2017 to 2018: BOC raised rates 5 times and MCAP raised its prime next day each time. 2020: BOC dropped rates 3 times and MCAP waited to drop its prime to include all 3 drops.

They probably don't care about that. They already collect a % of every single transaction thru interchange fees, and they pay out in CT money... Everything at CT is is overpriced and has huge margins, so really they are still profiting on both ends.

Triangle is one of the worst programs as far as having to load offers, such a convoluted app. Most of the time you have to click on them to know what they are and it's for incredibly specific things. I rarely even bother to check them since 90% of the time they are for things I would never buy.

They changed the emails so 1 click activates all offers now.
