[Canadian Tire] [YMMV] iRobot Roomba® 652 Vacuum - $299.93

Great price if you don't need WiFi on your vacuum cleaner.

YMMW - in-store clearance - there is a lot of stock within the GTA.

Shipping is also available for $9.99 from select stores.

been on the fence for a roomba for the longest time. wife & I thought we would someday buy it using our PC optimum points (400k+)

this appears to be a good deal. but is this model from 2010? i dont need the wifi etc features anyways.

Dumb question, but why would you want wi-fi on the unit? Capabilities?
-The higher end ones would allow mapping so you can choose what sections to clean
-App control
-Voice activation through google/alexa i.e. "Alexa vacuum the living room"

This is definitely one of the drunken sailor types that bump into things before turning. Decent deal for if you want name brand and are ok with that type of cleaning.
The brush it uses does get pretty disgusting collecting hair. The higher end models 800+ (in general) use rubber rollers that hair doesn't catch onto as much.
Higher end ones may also have the HEPA filter this does not.

If you are ok with off-brand, here are 2 I have personally tried and would recommend.
-iLife A4s
-Shark R700

Which one would you recommend for the higher end models then? i think app control intrigues me, as well as the HEPA filter

There is the Roomba 680 on sales at 299.99$ at BestBuy right now.

What would be the differences between the 652 and 680.

From what I've seen, they are practically the same.

I believe this model was released in June 2017.

I'm curious as well! Does the higher model number mean more options? Newer model?

960 is the "lowest" high end model that includes the room mapping features, wifi, google/alexa compatible. That one goes on sale for $600. The next tier is the i7+ that auto-empties and more advance room mapping features.

I went for the 960 for the room mapping features and the fact that it has rubber rollers that is easier to clean.

This Roomba is trash. Got one 2 years ago when it was around $500, thing would got lost and die in the middle of the room or would bounce around in a small area off the couch and coffee table and be like "whelp I'm done, return to dock"

Got the deebot m80 on Prime Day this year for $200 to give low end vacuums a shot again and night and day from this Roomba. Has wifi and manual controls for spot cleaning.
