This is a big YMMV, as right now the only store in my area (Montreal) that shows $349.93 is in St-Leonard. Some others have it at $399 and some others have it at $499.

https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/dewa ... 2339p.html

Good luck!

Edit: Attached a screenshot to show which locations are selling it at $349.93

Typical Canadian Tire anchoring. $599 is completely out to lunch for this. I would say this is a pass even at this "sale" price.

CT would be the last place I'd buy tools from.

Thanks OP - needed a starter kit. Had a $20 CTM on a purchase over $80, and got 10X the CT money on the purchase, so another ~$14.

I haven't. 2Ah is a bit small for the reciprocating saw but it's a starter kit not a contractor set. I think it's great for starting out.

Huh? A DeWalt tool is still a DeWalt tool, regardless whether it's at CT or HD, etc. Just gotta compare prices and specs...

Its not even brushless, imo get a brushless kit with impact driver and drill then add to it as needed.

Each is tool is 99$ on Amazon on a good day. So you get all 3 in one shot plus you get the flashlight, the bad and 2 x 2Ah batteries for 50$ before tx.
OK deal.

home depot regular price is 499 everyday so not much of a discount as CT makes it out to be.

That's how I based my purchase, but the positive here for me was the $35 in CT money I earned. So 395.42 after tax, less 35 makes it 360.42, essentially 318.96 before tax, means 36% off the 'normal' regular price at HD, not the overinflated CT regular price.
36% off Dewalt tools is a good deal in my books.

Lowest price according to CCC:
DCD780 - 94.99 (Mar 30, 2019) - Over the past 12 months, hasn't been lower than 126
DCF885 - 68.03 (Aug 29, 2018) - Over the past 12 months, hasn't been lower than 95
DCS381 - 99.00 (June 2019) - been this price in the past 12 months

Bare Tools Total - $262.02 before tax - assuming you bought them at the lowest price.

Given my cost of $318.96, the 2 batteries + Charger + Bag + work Light costs me 56.94 before tax.

If it’s not brushless I won’t even bother buying this. Small batteries are good for a drill or impact. Keep the tool nice and light. I like small batteries in a lot of applications.
