RV Relocation Special - One-way Rentals $39 a night

Deal Link:
Expiry:
May 19, 2022
Retailer:
Canadream
Canadream is offering a great deal on one-way RV rentals right now as part of their relocation specials. If you’ve ever wanted to take an RV trip across the country this is a great way to do it. I did the Toronto-Vancouver route last year and it was amazing.

The cost includes 2 drivers, a full kitchen set, a linen set, and more than enough kilometres. The only catch is you have to complete the trip between early april - mid (available dates below).

This is very interesting, might be a good thing to plan for next year

The fuel consumption on an RV are quite high. 6500 km from Halifax to Vancouver. I wonder how many liters of fuel would be consumed. A 'Saver 4' type of RV has a 6.8 litre engine.

Would run you about $1000/gas for Toronto to Vancouver.

It is truly a great marketing strategy to have people pay for the gas to move it. People often get paid for this.

I think it's funny that so many are coming back to Vancouver from elsewhere in Canada.

I've taken advantage of these offers from Canadream before and I have to say that these RVs are gas guzzlers. You have to estimate at least $1500 for gas, probably closer to $2000 with today's prices to drive from Toronto to Vancouver. I've done Calgary to Vancouver back in 2018 and the reverse in 2019 and the gas was almost $400 each time back then.

They'll think the fuel efficiency is half decent until they hit the rockies and it doubles. Face With Tears Of Joy

It sounds like a great idea to see the rest of the country. We have rented RVs in Whitehorse and Anchorage, but never thought of going from Calgary or Vancouver up north.
Def bookmarking this for next year (need some time to plan it)

There's no way you can make to Vancouver from Toronto with $1k in gas. I did Vancouver to Rockie mountain trip when the gas was around $1 mark and spent nearly $1,800 in gas..

Don't forget that you need to factor in the cost of parking the RV overnight into the trip too. Add the gas and $39 rental and this is an expensive way to spend most of your time driving...

If this is one way (which is silly) then wouldn’t you have to factor in the cost of a rental or plane ride on the way back? If so wow, dumb deal

Yes, there are arrangements to drive snowbird's cars to Florida, but you get paid. Supposedly, your payment should pay at least for your gas and you may come out ahead if you stay at very cheap motels along the way.

Seems the RV offers only make sense if you're going to rent a RV for that exact itinerary anyway.

Would be a great deal if they paid for gas.
Also its 5000km limit which means you can only drive it from Toronto to Vancouver with some extra km (400-500) and then you need to fly back.

LMAO. This is just silly. Pay to move their crap. Definitely doesn't deserve a spot on hot deals that is for sure.

Honestly having to go uphill doesn't change that much fuel mileage, you make it back on the way down.
