So you managed to switch to this plan as an existing customer?

I've been with CanNet for the last 1.5 years or so.
Only one outage and no peak throttling (downtown core).

Their support is adequate when something goes wrong but don't expect incredible white glove service or anything.
Yes I managed to switch and was charged just $25 upgrade fee.

Every time I called Cannet someone would pick up the phone within minutes. I'm happy with the CS considering what I am paying.

I did not get the fee waived. It was a charge from Roger's. Anyone here got the fee waived?
Existing customer I had it waived. Just $25 plan change fee.

Just search. It was (and still is) well discussed promo on this forum. $24 for 500Mbps and $34-39 for 1 Gbps. I just signed up last month. Used their chat, mentioned the offers I saw on RFD, she checked my " eligibility" and offered me the same plans. Discounts are for 12 months, but she said to contact them before they expire, for another promo.
That deal is postal code specific, mainly to newer condo building and other building with Bell/Beanfield/Fibrestream competition. It is not available for my building.

Fair enough. I'm in older neighbourhood, house, and Bell only offered me 5Mbps! As posted in those threads, there is no single rule to the promo. Some people got it after multiple tries, some were offered deals first time they called.

Can-Net gets a lot of hate on here for some bizarre reason but I had their service for my last year or two in Brampton and it was every bit as reliable as Start was previous to them, which was a way crappier deal

I just searched and that thread is in the expired hot deals forum.

I’m with carrytel with 75/10 for $35.
I would definitely like 300/20 for $40

Let's see for how long Rogers will honour those prices!

True. I don't think you can trust any of those companies. Bell was bad with billing and increases, Rogers is not much better.

Why would you get this over Rogers unlimited 1 Gigabit for basically the same price?
Like somebody mentioned, that is postal code dependant. Not many people can get that promotion. The best I was able to get from Rogers was $80 for 1 Gbps. And this was after calling in and speaking to chat multiple times. I ended up cancelling my services.

Today over the phone, I switched from 75M for $34.99 to 300M for $39.99 promo for 24 months.
They did not waive the $59.98 activation fee.
I can continue to use my existing Hiltron CDA3-35 modem.

Can somene clarify please?

Title on this thread says $39.98 while on https://www.modemoutlet.com/ it says $34.98. Which price is it?
$40 is for existing customer. $35 is for new. I'm waiting to see what teksavvy is offering as prices are going down and I only have access to 120 in Quebec with cannet. it's a great price but I want 400mbps or 1gb
