All it says is that the new provider MAY cancel on your behalf not they shall or must.

In practice, no isp is going to offer to cancel your current account with existing provider for you as they don't have it , they just could legislatively if they wanted to
Again, it is actually you not reading. Where did I say that they "must" cancel for you? I said (and I quote) "...You don't need to talk to the current provider". You simply ask your prospective new provider to do it for you. If they agree, you're done, if not, well then you'll have more work to do. That said, I have done this many times with home internet and it does work this way. I really wish you'd stop claiming otherwise.

Got install date (this Saturday), got modem shipping tracking today as well

Online chat says don't matter if modem actually received for install as it's just plug and play. I already have cable internet with carrytel

Not sure if tech even needs to come in?

CanNetRFD just replied me and said he is not able for this plan. However referrals earn $20 on any plan

thanks @CanNetRFD

Modemoutlet is selling the service on behalf of Cannet so after you sign up you would be dealing with Cannet.

I have 3 accounts with them for cannet...good services...I deal with him directly even for down time... when I am sure it is not my issue..i txt him directly to check if there is any issue outage..and his respond is fast instead of calling CANNET...

modemoutlet has an offer for cogeco users:

$35/m for two years, price increase in 3rd yr to $45 for a 120M/10/unlimited
free modem with deposit
$60 install

This is better than my current ebox 60M with 500GB cap for $45/month

Just signed up with cannet and cancelled my carrytel account. $34.98/month with the modem. Declined the router. $60 activation fee couldn’t be waived.

Saving $5 month compared to Carrytel for triple the speeds. Win-win.
