I am currently interested in this offer: https://www.cannettel.com/Promotion/CRT60M

I had a couple questions. It says at the bottom: "***For customers who transfer from Carrytel to Cannet, the processing fee $29.95 will be credit back after 12 months in 3 separate months. Current Carrytel bill is required to submit to obtain this offer." but right above it says that the Processing Fee is $39.90.

Also, it says second year is $39.99 and after that is $49.99. Will I be able to negotiate a better price after the second year or will I have to cancel and go to a cheaper company?

Hi there,

If you currently are a Carrytel customer you get the plan for the promotional price of $29.98/m for 2 years. Our IT team is currently straightening out the details on the promotion page.

Let me copy what I got from management:

For customers who transfer from Carrytel to Cannet, we will give credit $120 & will be bifurcated in 12months (i.e 2nd Year onwards and customer will continue to pay $29.98/month for another 12 months).

The page details should be updated any moment.

Kind regards,

Anyone on cannet can comment on if they are having IP geolocation issues like with Carrytel? (198 IP addresses showing up as located in US)? Thinking of switching my parents but trying to not get a headache with an IP that might be showing as US

the IP issue from carrytel is largely related the fact that the 198 IP address block were previously used by bot hackers and spammers (likely previously used by an isp from USA, and are blacklisted by various websites, triggering captcha or blocking your access altogether

unsure if cannet has a similar issue; hope not

As far as I know, we do not have that IP geolocation issue. :)

Does Cannet provide any referral discounts? I am signing up a second account at a different address.

We had a referral program before but we ended it in June. If we start any new referral program I would let the people on RFD know. For the moment we don't have any plans for it.

Thanks. The page has still not been updated.

So let me get this straight:
Year 1 - $29.98
Year 2 - $29.98
Year 3+ - $49.98

What about $39.90 processing fee?

I apologize for the issue. Seems IT has trouble pushing the updates through.

You are correct if you transfer from Carrytel with the prices for year1,year2 and year3. The one-time processing fee will remain $39.90

Hi there
Looking to move my parents over from Rogers. Can you please tell me what is the best promotion currently in market for cable (ideally 75m). I noticed that there is also a promo code can100 but trying to understand if that’s a one time discount or applied in perpetuity to the monthly rate. I’d obviously rather have a plan that doesn’t constantly change after a year.

Also the billing cycle at Rogers ends on dec 7. Does this leave enough time or should I budget for one more cycle before cancelling.

Thanks!

Hi there we have 75M plan for $24.98/m in the first year afterwards it will be $34.98/m with a one-time processing fee of $39.90

For the transfer of the services we would need at least 15 days. You can cancel any time with Rogers and you would only pay for the days you have the Rogers service active. They cannot bill you for the whole billing cycle or month anymore.

Is Cannet willing to offer something like this

rogers-new-customer-rogers-ignite-150-m ... d-2239292/
Your text to link here...
We have to admit that, that is a great price for 150M internet.

We can only dream of offering such rates but to be fair, it is just Rogers playing games since they know that no other independent ISP can offer lower prices than them. The ball is in their court.

The best plans we are able to offer at the moment are
75M for Ontario Rogers Area for $24.98/m
https://www.cannettel.com/promotion/75MLTP

40M for Cogeco ON area for $24.98/m
https://www.cannettel.com/promotion/BFC40

30M for Shaw Western Canada Area for $24.98/m
https://www.cannettel.com/promotion/BFS30

15M for Quebec Videotron Area for $24.98/m
