They have a promotion page. Might be useful for the people here on RFD who prefer to sign-up online.

Thanks OP!
It's actually a hot deal. $29.98 for reasonable speed, no contract, no rental. I checked Cogeco website, they offer the same speed at $65Face With Tears Of Joy. So you can get similar service at a less than half price. Nice!

Hot deal as I'm currently paying $55 tax in for 40mbps with Teksavvy. Any complaints about CanNet?

I was with CanNet (cable) for 3mths, had "pricelock" for 2yrs for $39 for 100mbps, I only lasted 3mths as during peak periods (4-10pm) I was getting 5-6mbps download, sometimes it was even under 2mbps, unbearable, was willing to switch to CanNet DSL, but the "change" fee was somewhere in the $75+ range. I ended up switching to CarryTel DSL and was consistently getting close to the advertised speeds 50mbps/10mbps. I was with CarryTel for a few months and then I switched to Fido internet ($32.50 for 75/10) as it's technically Rogers and don't get the "crumbs" that other resellers get, I always hover around 85-100mbps/10mbps even during peak periods. Once my 1yr promo rate is up in April, I will try to sweet talk Fido to stay at the same rate otherwise I will go to Virgin for a year then come back to Fido.

My colleague is using CanNet but in Rogers cable area. He pays $25 per month for a 75/10mbps internet. Seems nothing wrong with their service.

I had Cannet last year and had nothing but major problems. Now granted, I was using them on the resell of Bell service ( they said they couldn't offer Cogeco cable in my area at the time) and had the same issues as remik posted. Every night my service would drop below 4mbps, as low was 800kbps!!!! Wife told me it wasn't worth the savings and we switched to Carrytel to try the other major discount service. Holy Amaze-Balls!!!! Consistent amazing fast internet! I'm located between Hamilton and St. Cat's so ymmv. Best of luck!

Just change in 3rd year if they went up to $49.98. I'm sure you'll get faster speed for better price in 2021

No need wait to 3rd year, price is $39.98 in 2nd year. This ISP is ok but not perfect. Their call center is based in India. I love India food but I'm not of fan of Indian call center.

OP need update the price for 2nd year.

Buyers beware.

I had an atrocious experience with CanNet last year from July to September. During peak hours (4PM to 12AM), their speeds were so incredibly slow that even loading news on FB was delayed, let alone stream YouTube or Netflix. I spent several hours working alongside their technical support team (change frequency, channels etc.), had a new modem shipped to me but the problem persisted nonetheless so I gave up and switched to their rival company (CarryTel) and have not regretted it for even a moment.

In the past, CanNet has had a really bad reputation on RFD and their threads were often downvoted like mad. Then CanNet decided to pay for a "sponsored" thread and disabled commenting, which says a lot about the company.

PS. I'm not surprised if my post gets deleted (against my will) in a few hours.
