For CANON DSLR user... Henrys and Canon Estore have the 85mm/F1.8 USM for 349.99 CAD ... I'm not a CANON user so I don't know how good it is but it should be decent (non-pro) for portrait .

No IS but that's not generally going to be an issue shooting portraiture. The 85mm 1.8 is a great lens, excellent image quality, build quality and a fast autofocus motor. Quite sharp at 1.8 and very sharp at other apertures .. only reason it's not considered 'pro' in my opinion is Canon offering a 85mm 1.2 at the top of it's range. I own the 85mm 1.8 and use it a lot

I've have this lens for my 6D for 5 years now. Such a great lens for portrait.

If you're a Canon user and you still want to invest in lenses, this is a great price.
