[Best Buy] Canon Lens at Best buy Open Box YMMV 50% off

Best Buy Flyer has "Save 25% or More on Open Box Camera, Lens, Flash".
i end up picking up Canon 100MM Macro L series Lens for great price.
its every open box lens ...you have to literally negotiate with store manager. Make sure you check price and than ask for discount.
This lens was marked open box was tagged at $1109 and its right nor $999.99 but brand new in box it appear it was never open and i ask for more b'cos it says 25% or more.
I check manufacturing date code is 2015Q1
Canon lens with falling dollar to find at this price is good deal.

keep in mind its YMMV because every store might have different open-box lens and flash.

So buy a lens they have only 1 in-stock of then return it and send someone else to go in and buy the open-box version?

they offered me 5% off and i show them flyer...they came back with 25% and i ask 50% cos i told them these are PRO lens and no one buys open box. They gave me 3 year warranty to cover if some thing is wrong but lens is in 100% condition. I think even 25% off is hot deal because Canon lens are at price parity with US market.

Thanks OP.
25% off is already pretty good since they normally only take 10% off.
The fact you were able to negotiate even more and came on here to tell us earns you a thanks in my opinion!

i posted my e-receipt in case if any one want to go and try their luck at some other stores. all you need to make sure if Lens is in brand new condition. i call around and found few lens but i was only looking for 100MM L Macro i have many other L lens. so it was a right price for right product. There are few Mac's mini were also discounted by $100 on open box but i rather but Apple Refurb for $449.

Please elaborate. :D
100mm macro only gives you 6" from the front glass at minimum focus distance, which might make it "useless" in some people's opinion.

With lenses what one person considers useless is another individuals dream lens. But back on topic, OP got an amazing deal. Congrats.
