[Dell] Canon PowerShot SX270 HS Camera = $164.99

I've been in the market for a nice Point n Shoot camera (to replace our 6 year old one) and thought this deal was pretty good so I went for it.

This deal also qualifies for $15 off $100 with camera coupon code Q1KK1CP0PSNK2B and another 2% cash back (which I forgot to do) and free shipping.

The camera has a nice 20X optical zoom and their latest Digic 6 sensor and is spec'd like Canon's flagship SX280 HS minus Wifi and GPS.

Cheers!

+1

Because of this, I would avoid this model at any price.

I don't think the battery problem affects the older SX260 HS, just the 270 and 280 models.

Just some feedback about the size and feel of this camera (assuming it is similar to sx280)...
I picked up the sx280 model back in Dec from staples (smoking one day deal for $180).
I so desperately wanted to keep it especially for the price, but it was too imbalanced in weight. When holding it with one hand, you could feel that the left side was heavier than the right. My thinking was that the lens and such were on that side and weighed it down. But when I checked out a competitor's (panasonic) version, it was nicely balanced and such. At the end I decided to return the Canon. :(

I updated the firmware and it fixed the problem for canon batteries, but not for my after market battery. I returned the camera.

Awwww... ok... it looks like I bought a lemon of a camera.

I may give it a quick try anyway with the firmware update before I make a decision to return it.

Thanks for all the warnings and heads up!
