Capital One Account Closure Question

Capital One recently closed my Aspire Travel credit card (the one that is no longer offered). Anywho no big deal on my end as it was an okay credit card and there are some better ones out there. They closed the card due to suspected business use as it's strictly only for personal use expenses only.

The letter they sent me said that any reward points will no longer be applicable or allowed to be redeemed. Has this happened to anyone before? I called in and escalated this to a supervisor who said they have to open a case etc but wouldn't provide any timeline.

Normally I wouldn't make too much of a fuss about this but its 450,000 points which is almost equivalent to $4,500 in travel rewards. Has this happened to anyone before? Any solutions or advice would be appreciated.

I’ve had cards closed on me. It’s annoying that they do this without advance notice.

So I’m sure everyone is curious. Did you use it for business expenses?
