Capital One approval
We were approved for a capital one guaranteed MC. The approval didn't say anything about security--just that the card would arrive in 7-10 days. Does that mean no deposit is necessary?

yeah you're good, probably will get a $300, $500 of if you are lucky a $1000 start credit line.

I would cross my fingers, but don't be surprised if you get a letter requesting funds first. When I got my secured card approved, and when I got my Unsecured card approved, it looked identical until I got it in the mail. But that was years ago...Still, you're more likely to get an unsecured card than not most of the time, or one with just a very small deposit like $75 for $300 CL. Capital One can be generous with approvals for small unsecured lines though, so I wouldn't be surprised.

They are regular Gold Mastercard with $1000 limit so we were told.

Well congrats! Always when in doubt, I just call them lol. They seem to start a lot of people off with the $1k. It's an excellent credit builder.
