totally rigged poll..... 1,2 are actually horrible car brands, while Kia Hyuindai definitely deserve top 5.

Luxury brands dominating with sub 700 average credit score...?

Feels like that would be almost an auto-decline at a luxury brand to me.

Econo brands with lower credit scores? Shocking!!!

But yes what a stupid article, but at the same time amusing. Lots of idiots out there with sub-prime rates and also tons of idiots rolling negative equity into new cars. I've heard it all from my buddy that is a business manager/finance manager.

What's so shocking about this article OP? Its like me quoting an article that states that the countries with the most Winter Olympic gold medals are Sweden,Finland,Canada and Russia and the countries with the least medals are Vietnam, Jamaica and Syria.

There's barely any difference between 650 - 700.. They're all basically the same. Wtf is the point of this post.

Not sure if serious. Try getting a mortgage with a 650 score vs. 700

Tesla, the electric-vehicle maker, was No. 1 with an average score of 740, LendingTree said.

Not really surprising. looking at top 10 brands on the list (full list)...

Tesla, Porsche - Tesla sales model has no negotiation and Porsche is Porsche so you're pretty much paying sticker regardless. Also lease/financing rates suck for both brands.
Volvo - safe, boring brand that is trying to compete with German luxury brands
Subaru - excluding BRZ/WRX ricers, most buyers are fairly conservative, white collar professionals. And yes, there's the lesbian stereotype...

And the bottom brands...like someone said above, many idiots roll in negative equity and are in perpetual debt.

There is no point. Basically every one of the makes falls in the Prime credit score rating other than the very bottom two...

From the article:

Tesla, the electric-vehicle maker, was No. 1 with an average score of 740, LendingTree said. To put that in context, Experian Automotive considers the credit-score range of 661 to 780 to be “prime,” while 781 to 850 is “super prime.”
