This is a great laptop. 1.88kgs, 82wh battery. The CPU is "last gen", however, it's an 8750h. Nowadays, without a CPU die shrink, Intel is increasing the TDPs of their chips, so in a thin and light chassis, the 9750h will not do much better than the 8750h. The 256gb ssd is not great, but it's not difficult to put another one in. The screen is 144hz, but not too bright at about 270 nits of brightness.

One notable issue is maintenance. The motherboard is flipped, so you have to take out a lot of internals, including ribbon cables, to access RAM and your second NVME m.2 drive.

I am fairly experienced with laptop hardware, so feel free to AMA.

The same laptop is OOS with Memoryexpress at $1900. It is currently backordered at caretek.ca. This merchant accepts PayPal, so if you're afraid it's a scam, make sure to pay through PayPal.

I believe so. This is a well-built laptop, it has a 2060. Can you find a laptop with a 2060, 144hz screen, and decent battery life for $1500? This is cheaper than the ccc all time low for the 1070 Max-Q version, as well as the 1060 version of the GS65. Remember, this isn't a Max-q 2060, so it matches the 1070 max-q.

You've put your Earl Grey on the ledge of your English shire estate house.

It's cooled for 15 to 20 minutes.

That's this deal.

Hey man. I've told you the specs, I've told you that there hasn't been a better price for a lower speced and equivalent speced model. Look around at reviews. This is a well liked laptop. Could you provide me with reasons this isn't hot, rather than tell me it's cooler than my 20min old tea?

I paid $800 plus tax for the same spec build as a 2-in-1 in Q1-Q2 2018, without the 144Hz but with a 1060 max-Q.

Let's relax, your deal is luke warm.

I'm fairly certain your laptop doesn't have the same level of mobilty though. We're talking 7-8hrs of battery life, and 1.88kgs.

By the way, the 2060 is 52% better than the 1060. I'll admit, RT is a gimmick, but you also get RT with the 2060.

If you've got the extra cash, I'd say this is a fairly good deal.

Edit: Wait a sec, I misread that. $800?!?!?!?!? Damn, you couldn't even get a desktop for that price, let alone a laptop

Edit 2: Now that you've said it's a 1060 max Q, the RTX2060 is 100% (2x) faster:

Two different things: hot versus selling well.

You've got a warm deal, and maybe I'm out of place expecting price errors on the reg, but lava hot is a bit much.

I hope you understand.

Yep, my bad. I'm brand new to RFD, not sure how to describe deals. This is no price error of course.

I edited the title by the way.
