Deal Link:
Price:
69.99
Expiry:
August 19, 2021
Retailer:
Carry Telecom
one time processing fee of $29.99 + tax
$10 modem shipping charge
modem rental is free but a $79 deposit (CODA-45)

$79.99/month for existing customers unfortunately.
I called them and managed to get $69.99 for the first 6 months, then $79.99 thereafter.

Seems like a good deal. i'm still on their 100/10 plan for $40/month from 4 years ago($45/month now). I know others have had issues with them but i've been satisfied with their service.

Friends don't let friends get CarryTel. So many outages. Terrible customer support. Literal bribing customers for good reviews.

100% correct. I couldn't do so many things on their internet like IPTV. As soon as i got Fido everything worked great. But speed test comes out great! I even got one rep to admit to me they throttle but all the others claimed it must have been me

CarryTel and Freedom Mobile go hand in hand.

You should only be customers of those companies if you don’t care about quality of service.

CarryTel is by far, the worser of the 2 evils

They definitely throttle IPTV, check the thread in computers and electronics section and you'll see many others complaining about the same thing. Switched to virgin and never looked back.

I have been with CarryTel in Cogeco-land for almost 4 years now. I can count on one hand the number of outages I have experienced. Maybe their problems are mostly in Rogers area?? I have suggested them to a number of people who thanked me.

I did try their phone service at first, and it sucked. Dealing with their customer service then did suck. But, for their no-frills internet service, it does what I need and is cheap.

YMMV apparently

Same Here - on the cogeco backbone and it's been a rock. I also don't experience any speed issues, but maybe because I use a vpn?

Honestly I was scared from the reviews as well but I've been with them for 2 months now with 1 outage that lasted about 3 hours. Hope this helps.

3 hours with no Internet! Were you suicidal by the 3rd hour? (I'm almost not sarcastic by the way.) I mean a 3 hour interruption after 2 months is a lot in 2021.

CarryTel is awful. If you read their T&C is says:

CARRY TELECOM DOES NOT WARRANT OR GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE(S) WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR FREE.

Carry Telecom does not warrant or guarantee that its Service(s), software, or Equipment(s) will perform at a particular speed, bandwidth, or data throughput rate.

Customer service is closed on weekends and only opens at 10AM on weekdays.

Outages happen often and don't even bother to ask for compensation for any downtime because they will refer you to their T&C as noted above.

My carrytel dsl uptime was actually very solid. I switched to diallog dsl and it was much worse. (Also much cheaper.)

I would have if I didn't have a 30gb data plan (Koodo $70) but it sucked that I and everybody else in the house were now limited to their phones.

My DSL with them since 2016 was fine but only problem is they assigned me a fixed IP and whenever I reboot my router, I have to wait about 45 minutes before I could log back in (ie no internet for 45 minutes) Support never able to help. Anyway decided to switch and cancelled today, they say they will refund me part of the 30 days payment. Did you receive any refund from them? Thanks.

Using Fido right now but when I used Carrytel, it was fairly solid other than the cable cut incident. (They claimed some ground work cut one of the cable leading out from Rogers which led to a 1 day outage).

Stay far away from this ISP, they throttle speed.
