CBC cancels New year's Air farce

One last good bye December 30th...
https://toronto.citynews.ca/2019/10/04/ ... on-dec-30/

"The TV special’s ratings DID NOT have an impact on the decision, she said. In an era of diminishing broadcast returns, Air Farce was a consistently strong performer, drawing over a million viewers on New Year’s Eve over the past two years, according to Numeris."

Not much left of 1990s CBC anymore... Don Cherry gone. Hockey Night in Canada pretty much gone. Air Farce gone. Replaced with what, subsidized shows with glorification of alternative lifestyle choices?

None of this makes any sense. A consistent strong performer is what you want on your broadcast. If the creators and performers want to keep going than you let them.

I agree!
It steers me to believe that maybe Bell's CTV or some other TV network should pick up and carry on where the Airfarce left off.
A "strong performer" is a strong performer...possibly with better ratings than what currently airs December 31st, for a mere 30 minutes or so on their network...
