CBIUSA is moving from 2416 Military Road effective February 3rd, 2018

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to alert you all that CBIUSA is moving from 2416 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY - effective February 3rd, 2018, and that location will be closed.

They had a lot of packages there, so they will transfer all packages to the 1711 Cudaback Ave address in Niagara Falls after February 3rd.

So if you have packages at that location, it will be sent to Cudaback to be picked up.

The guy at the counter said to send all future parcels to their 1711 Cudaback Ave address in Niagara Falls.

They are planning to move to a new and bigger location near Fashion Outlets on Military Rd, but will only be operational November 1st, 2018.

He also told me that both the Cudaback and 2416 Military Road locations will be eventually consolidated into one giant store near Fashion Outlets on Military Rd instead of two stores. He told me that they will only have one store on Military Rd, not two even though their website says that they will have two stores on Military Road.

Update: Just a reminder that as of November 1st, 2018, you need to send your packages to the new address below as the Cudaback location is now closed.

Just received this via email:

October 1, 2018

Dear Customers,

The BIG move is finally happening! Our new Military Road location will be open for business on Thursday, November 1st.

It would be very helpful if you could pick up as many packages as possible from Cudaback Ave. so that we can minimize transfers. The last day to pick up at 1711 Cudaback will be on Saturday, October 27th, 8:00am - 3:00pm. Our package tracking website will also go offline at that point as we start the move.

In order to be able to move and organize all of the packages we will be closed on:

Monday, October 29th

Tuesday, October 30th

Wednesday, October 31st

We will start accepting packages at the new address beginning Tuesday, October 30th. However, you will not be able to pick them up until Nov. 1st which is our opening day at the new location.

We will give you the new address the week prior to opening. We cannot take any chances of getting shipments there before that date as we will not be ready to receive them.

Any packages with 1711 address will be automatically forwarded to our new warehouse only until November 15th so be sure to start using the new address as soon as you receive it.

Also, to keep costs down we will be implementing a storage policy starting Nov. 1st.

Storage Fees are as follows:

First 180 days (~6 months) package storage - FREE (Does not include skids).

After 180 days (~6 months) - .15 cents + tax per day, per package.

After 365 days (~1 year) - your package will be considered abandoned and will be liquidated as we see fit.

This new policy will be effective for all new packages as well as all packages that were received at Cudaback or our old CBI Express Military Rd location.

To ensure proper notification, the six month window starts once packages are transferred to the new location effective November 1st.

So be sure to pick up all of your old packages before the new storage fees/abandoned package policy are applied to them.

Please check your e-mail and our website for more instructions and details www.cbisua.com

We are looking forward to serving you at our new location!!

Thank you!

Here is a list of dates to remember:

Week of October 22nd - We will give out the new address

Saturday, Oct. 27th - Last day to pick up at Cudaback Ave. 3pm tracking website unavailable

Monday, Oct. 29th - CBI closed for the move Tracking website available by end of day

Tuesday, Oct. 30th - CBI closed but will accept shipments starting today (no pick-ups)

Wednesday, Oct. 31st - CBI closed but will accept shipments (no pick-ups)

Thursday, November 1st - Open for business at 9:00am (Regular business hours).

I use to be a regular at CBI but since Trump became president, I haven't been to the States since.

So what's going on with CBI, are they downsizing? Is business not as good? Anyone been there lately?

Those storage fees over 6 months are horrible. I usually make one trip a year. I guess I will need to check out the alternatives.

umm cudabeck and the military road locations are closing. they dont want you using the cudabeck address anymore since they are only accepting parcels for a certain time if you ordered something a while ago and it's in processing. but they don't want you ordering anything now and using the old addresses. as of october 31st packages will either be re-directed to the new military road location or returned to sender if it arrives after the cut off date.

it's not a matter of business doing well or not i think it's more of having one central location and too many people were complaining about the current location, and misdirection of packages between cudabeck and military rd.
no matter where you go, there you are.

Just to add, imagine you have 10 packages that you take 9months to grab...

Old Model: $59.95+tax*
New Model: $194.95+tax*

*Assumes you are on the pay per package model.

What are you guys ordering that you can leave it there for 9-12 months??

I have been there minutes after my package arrives. At very most a month.

If you are ordering that infrequently, just bundle your purchases and go pick it all up at once

I couldn’t imagine buying something and waiting a year to get it ..

Storage space costs money to own and operate.

I buy things on eBay or whatever such as lego. It takes half a day to drive down and back, plus the hassle of customs...so I limit it to once a year. Nothing urgent gets shipped there, but I grab it all when I do go.

Consider CrossborderPickups?

My time + gas would probably cover the HST you'll pay at the border (of course, depending on what I'm buying). With (now) 2 locations + consolidation options I think this is the best option.

If you've been with them for several years, like many on RFD, you would know that it has NOT been a regular thing and rather, they are expanding and hence, some moves.

If they leave Cudaback, the bread and butter location, I bet its one-time and for good.

I use them as well but find the entire process to be very expensive.

I was just there on Friday (19th) and they are definitely not downsizing. Cudaback was packed to the rafters as usual. The new Military Road site is apparently larger than both the previous sites combined.

Crap, this place is like double the distance from the border. Now 20 minute drive. UGH that sucks.

I hope this works out for them. There was some charm to the middle-of-nowhere location. This is a niche market, unless they start acting like a post office (which I can't see happening with the lines), or the building was falling apart or went up in price, I can't see the reason for the move. If you want more exposure, they would have been better off with an online presence or even a local flyer campaign, who knows lol The fact that they use to be "send anything, pick it up when you want" to now ... well, pick it up in 6 months TOPS, is telling IMO.

I guess we'll see how this goes.

2416 Military Rd

Edit: Well, at least it's closer to the Olive Garden :D

Real post or fake, I don't know but that's good to hear if that's the case lol ... for them.
