Bought 3 years of Gold on XBox Turkey using the Eneba website for under $130 (had to disable fraud alerts from CC to purchase lol).

Used a VPN which sets location to Turkey properly (this is important and some popular VPNs like Nord apparently don't work for this) and then went to the Microsoft redemption site which I think is redeem.microsoft.com and logged in and redeemed all three Turkish XBox Gold codes I got one after the other. Logged out of browser (or you can just close and re-open the browser if your browser deletes cookies & logins when closing).

Turned the VPN off and went back to the Microsoft account and logged in as normal and it showed the three years of XBox Gold. Then clicked on the offer to convert XBox Gold to Gamepass Ultimate for $1 and accepted and paid while adding CC info and then turned off recurring billing starting in 2026. And voila, I now had 3 years of Gamepass Ultimate for $130 CAD which is far less than 36 months x $17/month for Gamepass Ultimate. This worked as of last week and has worked forever, I would double-check if it's working as of today though via reddit or wherever. The XBox Series S itself is $300+tax so around $470 combined for an XBox + 3 years of gamepass ultimate is still cheaper than buying a Series X or a PS5 which is perfect for us casual gamers especially if you play sports games from EA you get largely for free via Gamepass Ultimate.

I do still think the one-month CD Keys deal is good if you wanna try out Gamepass Ultimate but be mindful if you wanna use the method above, I believe you then have to wait for the one month to expire you can't do the XBox Gold to GPU conversion if you already have an existing Gamepass subscription.

this is the way to go rather than the $60 per year from costco + $10 cdkey GPU method

When did you do this? A lot of smooth brains call Microsoft when it changes their store setting and I feel they’re going to patch soon if they haven’t already

Don't forget to turn off recurring billing since alot of the times it offers a free month to turn it back on when redeeming the codes.

I did it about 2 weeks ago. This is my second time so I was not able to get the $1 promo to switch over to Gamepass Ultimate. I had to wait 1 day after it expired to apply all 3 turkey xbox live codes. It would only let me add one the evening of when my current GPU sub had expired.

There is another forum with amazing details and full support if you run into troubles.

For example my Rewards was broken for a few days but eventually started to work again. I did reach out to Microsoft who eventually fixed it.

How does the Costco thing work with this? Buy gold from Costco and use this to upgrade the whole time to ultimate? Do I need to follow any specific instructions to do this? Can I buy it online at Costco?
