Will the $4.69 work to convert, as it's no ln-stackable? My GPU expires in a couple of days, so good timing!

Nord doesn't work. Use Windscribe.

Switching your account region was not necessary, in fact it may have made things much worse. Can you provide more details so we can help? You don't want to call Microsoft support until a last resort. When did your account expire? You may need to wait longer. What is the exact error message you get when redeeming?

Nvm, I tried urban VPN, bought 3 keys, 1 of 3 keys worked, other two says

Contact the seller to get a code that works in your region
This code was purchased in a different region and cannot be redeemed.

Not really in the spirit of RFD, but if you want to skip all of the VPN stuff just get a 12 month Xbox Live (North America) code from Costco. They're $60+tax, so you're paying a bit more. But it might be worth your time to just stack some 12 month codes without a VPN and then do the $1 upgrade to GPU.

https://www.costco.ca/xbox-live-gold-12 ... 86244.html

In the end it'll cost you about $75 total more for the three years ($40 vs $65 from Costco), but it could save you a few hours and going through questionable VPN services.

I want to say you need to wait a day to try the second code.

I was successful with the turkey method, i had some minor issues but got it resolved in a few days. Unfortunately, costco requires a membership for online orders. I believe they changed the policy in summer of 2021. I wish they sold online only memberships like Costco’s in other parts of the world. Not a fan of the massive checkouts at Costcos in general.

I was experiencing issues using the browser extension VPN with Urban VPN and Windscribe.

I used the Urban VPN desktop and was able to redeem 3 codes successfully. Took a few attempts and had to refresh the page or toggle the VPN on and off.

EDIT: now having issues upgrading to GPU since it says I have a subscription from a different region

EDIT2: Switched my account region to Turkey and was able to redeem the 1 month GPU code from cdkeys. Had to add my credit card with a random Turkey address.

By waiting a few days, what could happen?

Delaying your complete conversion. It happened to me, not the end of the world.

It wouldn't work for me...at first.
Bought 3 keys - and when I went to redeem I got "Contact the seller to get a code that works in your region" - this error.
Literally just kept trying over and over again and got all 3 to work.
I think I tried like 5x per key - and it worked, so if it doesn't work for you the first time around - keep trying.
Thanks OP - got GPU until 2026! :)

I dont’ see the option for the $1 or $4.95 that someone mentioned, just the $16.99. I’m going the Costco route, and wanna make sure I’m doing it right, so sorry for not being completely on topic here.

Step 1: Redeem 3 years Gold without agreeing to recurring billing
Step 2: Redeem 1 month GPU from somewhere that sells it for $4.95 (where would this be?)
Step 2: Xbox will ask me if I want to convert the 3 years Gold into GPU? I say yes.
Step 4: Bob’s my uncle?

You only get the $1 offer once.

Which means i have to pay $16.99 to buy a month, then it asks me if I want to convert the 3 years of Gold?

That's correct. I bought a global GPU single month to kick off the conversion.

Thanks for that confirmation. So basically we have to pay another $16.99 on top of the 3 years Gold. Can’t believe 3 years of GPU just expired for me, where did those 3 years go?
