XBOX Live Gold Membership - 6 months for CAD 38.49

Deal Link:
Price:
38.49
Savings:
27% off
Retailer:
cdkeys.com
Thinking of gifting someone some "Gold time" or want to top yours while waiting for a blockbuster deal on the 12 months membership?

cdkeys.com has a mini-sale running on the 6 months membership discounted from $52.49 to $38.49.

For people looking for 12 months deals, there are a couple going on, but not so great:
cdkeys.com ($61.19)
Costco ($59.99) - But you need to have Costco membership

Thanks OP. Typically if you're waiting for that 'blockbuster' XBL price, at what price should we pull the trigger?

I remember buying from cdkeys.com a couple of years ago for $38 a 12 months membership.

I'm 4 months away from having to renew and I've been waiting for a good deal for the past 6 months or so I thought any small discount is better than no discount if I need to pull the trigger.

Yup, good find, I haven't checked the 6 months on Costco. For the 12 months however, I think you do need to be a member; it even says there in the description.

why would you even consider this a deal? you get the 2nd 6 months for $12.50 if you just buy the costco 12 month.

Maybe not a Costco member? The 12 month requires membership, 6 months does not.

i suppose, although i dont think its difficult to find someone that is a member to buy it for you... probably 80% of the people i know are members.

Where are you getting the membership for $51 for 12 months? Costco is $59.99. So, it's $21.50 more.
Although yes, not sure how $38.50 for 6 months is any deal. I think a common sale price on CDkeys for 12 months is $53, but haven't seen that yet.

I never said I considered this a deal. I just wanted something short term while I await a 12-month deal.

But the 12 month at $60 is a better than this price for 6 months. So if the most you'll save is $10 on 12 months, you're better to get it at $60, than 6 months at $38.
I would also like to wait for a deal, but honestly, in the grand scheme of things, the deals will save you less than $1 a month.

Guess it doesn't matter since I just tried to order the 6 month and even though it allowed my order to go through, I got an email afterward about my membership not being active so.... Apparently you can't order without the membership??

29000 points for a 12 month card, its a good discount and value for points, but earning 29000 points will take a while.

I have earned 1700 this month. and 12000 since it launched around 6 months ago. if you are buying a lot of digital content it will be quicker, I buy a lot of digital games, but only at good sale prices.
