Oh I thought GPU was going to be some cloud gaming offering by MS. So many acronyms out there.

It's only letting me put two of these in my cart at a time? This could be a fairly time consuming multi-process transaction, unless I'm doing it wrong.

So if I'm existing subscriber I can buy 3 of these let's say and extend by 150 days?

Wondering about this as well.

Sorry for the noob question, just finally bought a gaming PC for the first time in 14 years, but to confirm, is this the process for getting Game Pass Ultimate to get the subscription for PC Games:

1. Go to CDKeys and buy 4x3 = 12 membership cards @ $11.19. This will give 36 months of XBox Live @ $134.28
2. Go to redeem.microsoft.com and redeem all 12 cards
3. Purchase 1 month of Gamepass Ultimate using the $1 promo

And this will turn all 36 months into Gamepass Ultimate?
Don't worry about how much you SPEND , it's how much you SAVE that matters.

Seems like a really great deal. I am a previous subscriber to GPU, let it lapse a while ago.

I bought four 3-month passes (two transactions), activated them on the Xbox website. Then I went to my profile, went to "manage subscriptions" and under Xbox Gold, there is an option to "Upgrade" to GamePass.

No matter what link I went through, I could not find the $1 option, it would automatically be reverted to the full $16.99 price. Probably because I used the $1 option previously to activate my previous subscription.

Either way I confirmed the option to "Pay $16.99/month" for ultimate with my 12-months of gold already active. From what I can tell I was charged an upfront cost of $16.99 for the conversion (rather than $1) but my next recurring payment of $16.99 is not set to occur until a year from now when the Gold expires.

TL:DR, great deal for cheap GPU (which is already a great deal as a service IMO), but YMMV on the Free/$1/$16.99 conversion).

When you redeemed 2, expiry date after 6 months is Nov 28th + 100 days so about Feb?

Thanks OP, was able to stack 3 for my son. Will it work if I buy another 3, or is 3 the max?

TIA

2 is the max you can add to your cart at a time.

How about for Xbox live, can I stack more than 3 x 3months?

TIA

Sorry I misread. For stacking, it's a max of 36 months.

Is there a chance the 1:1 conversion to ultimate may lapse if I wait until my expiry on a couple weeks? There is just nothing official stating the 1:1 conversion and ability to stack that I can see so just curious if microsoft could “correct” this soon?

Can you do the live to ultimate conversion again if you have already done it before?

Can anyone else who's used the $1 conversion previously comment on if it worked for them this time?

I also have used it before, so I'm debating just changing the xbox account email. (Unless that brings along additional issues with saved game files.)

The 1:1 conversion is still working but the $1price will only work the first time, if you want to do it again in the same account that you already used the $1, it will cost $16.99.
