Cell phone purchase, used.

Any good reputable dealers in the west end, Etobicoke, Mississauga, Oakville? Mine just cracked on me and I'm not too keen on spending over $400 for a new phone just yet.
The other options aren't so great either, so a new/used S3 or whatever would be ideal a this point.

Whatever you do be careful of a shady seller since the phone could be black listed. Had a friend buy a phone off kijiji then a week or so later black listed. With that being said android is getting better in the middle end phones, some of the 200ish to 400ish phones are really good enough. Just a couple months ago my sister broke her phone got a moto g second gen ( can't remember how much but it was in the 200s range), she previously was using my old nexus 4, and seems happy with it.

Entry level smartphone prices are so low these days and their performance is on par with their high end models these days, no need to buy used !

Get an Asus Zenfone. Unlocked, expandable storage, decently fast, and from a store so no blacklist worries.

If you're just looking for an s3, the odds of buying ire that ends up blacklisted a week or month later are a bit slimmer, I'd say, since it's pretty old. The scammers tend to aim more at newer phones. But as mentioned, there are some decent options in new phones as well

Keep an eye on this one in the RFD BST forum. The Oppo is basically a one+ one. In today's terms, I would say this is at the upper end of mid range. Because of lack of brand awareness, the pricing is in the great value range. Search through the RFD threads and you will find lots of discussions on this Oppo.

Too much germs when buying used phone...think about it the seller wanks everyday with his phone. Sadly mostly its true because its a biological requirement and the easiest aid is your mobile device...

The junk that factory direct sells is not even fit to be given away to third world countries as it would be a slap in the face for them.

Thanks for all the replies, I ended up with a Moto G 3rd gen, open box, cut the price down a bit. Decent enough for me, I honestly couldn't see myself spending over $500 for a phone.
But at least I know the Asus is a good option now.

Isn't the moto X Play $399 outright, it's an amazing phone for a midrange.

Buy it from any carrier or retail like Best Buy and no worries about blacklist.
