Certain products on Amazon are now prioritized for org on front lines - COVID-19

So I was randomly browsing Amazon Canada and noticed for mostly cleaning products such as lysol, clorox, Mr Clean etc, these products are now being prioritized for organizations on the front lines responding to COVID-19... meaning we won't be able to buy unless we have a healthcare / business amazon account?

I tried to click the learn more button but it just redirect me to the main page.

Yeah, you're right. Some of them are actually in stock right now but we can't access it.

A little surprising front line responders are still lacking in cleaning supplies.
You'd think by May they would have it all handled and not need to resort to these measures.

Great news. These products should be saved for those in need and not all the people who are just irrationally paranoid.

Everybody needs these items. All they gotta do is put in a limit on the number of items you can order for a given time period.
Problem solved.

I can't believe they hiked up the prices of the Lysol spray again. It was only $5.97 in the beginning. Then it was $6.56. Now it's $7.99 for a bottle?

Yes I know that Canadian Tire was selling them. I'm surprised Amazon would hike up the prices to a point higher than the retail price. Not a third party, but Amazon themselves.

Amazon is banning third party sellers for price gouging. They want to be the only ones allowed to gouge.

Yeah the price has steadily gone up. Supply and demand I guess.

I got some "Tropical Breeze" disinfecting Lysol spray (scented but same product) for 3.98 from Amazon back in mid March.

Unfortunately this is our new reality. Companies will be focused on their bottom line now more than ever.

I agree to prioritize certain products, but right now it is more like "reserve" than "prioritize".

are now ALL not able to be purchased by consumers.

Lysol or clorox disinfectants are all not accessible for consumers to purchase now.

What a farce. Hospitals can purchase these through their own supply chains. What's the point of Prime then?

Even before this what was the point of prime recently with delivery times so bad? Just Prime video which mostly sucks.
