Changing light bulb connection to receptacles

In my basement, this light bulb connection with two way switch has stopped working for an unknown reason. Is it possible to change it to the receptacle or a simple light bulb lamp holder?

Might want to clarify what you want to do. As stated, it is not sure what the receptacle has to do with it.

To begin with, you might want to check the bulbs (cold be burnt out) and if not, check if there is power going to the light fixture.

Yes, you can switch spot lights to a simple bulb holder (be careful of overhead clearance).

If you don't want/need a device up there, you can buy white cover plates that blend right in.

Was not sure that I can change that spotlight to the lamp holder. That spotlight is near the stairs and was there to provide light on the stairs. Now need to find a way. You are right about the overhead clearance.

Changing the light bulbs is simpler than anything else. It looks like a GU 20 bulb, but it might be a PAR20. They have them at Dollarama.
