Changing my Mobile to Shaw?

I have my Internet & TV with Shaw and was offered a $15/month deal on my own phone. Naturally, I took it without doing my homework. I am receiving spotty service & Wi-Fi problems. Is it a one off or has anyone else has experience with Shaw mobile. No plan, so I can always change.

Thanks

Shaw Mobile uses the same towers as Freedom Mobile, which may explain the spotty service. In major cities like Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Toronto it should be OK, but there can still be some dead zones. In smaller towns you may get a very weak signal which can be pretty much unusable and unless there’s absolutely no signs at all it won’t switch to “Nationwide” mode (essentially, roaming on one of the towers owned by Bell/Rogers/Telus.

As an example, I don’t have too many issues in Calgary, but Langdon, Alberta is a different story. Unusable data/calls when “connected” to a 1-bar Shaw tower somewhere, but if it flips to Nationwide it works.

The good deal was Telus sold me the SE 2020 for $500.00. Think I'll go back to Fido. Had zero problems there.
