Considering it learns from whatever inputs it receives and them makes that information freely available to all future users, it should be banned from anywhere sensitive.

That thing is scary. I just asked it to write a cover letter by referring to the data in resume and I was blown away by how good it turned out to be. Now anyone can be a communication specialist!

I find ChatGPT is great in helping me design nuclear weapons. I hope they don't ban it in my office.

We also replaced our entire accounts payable and customer support division with 1 dedicated ChatGPT instance.

Lots of companies ban things like Grammarly and any other tools where the user data is sent to remote systems without data controls.

No different with ChatGPT since OpenAi/MS haven't really addressed any of the IP/exfiltration issues.

The dinosaurs running the show probably don’t even know what it is Face With Tears Of Joy

I guess the benefit is that staff can use it and their boss would likely never find out ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Actually its the opposite, if its banned, the boss knows it already.

Heck, it can answer the most difficult accounting and law cases correctly...

I haven't used it myself but I hear it has censorship issues and is sexist.

20 USD/month, I'd pay that!
Maybe he can pay it and keep arguing with it. Though it'd probably just copy paste the same answer over and over again.

Oh no, those were others that were arguing with it.

I just use it for research. Will probably use it to do my resume/cover letters. Gotta find other use cases...Maybe I'll just stick to free for now.

You can use your personal device for ChatGPT, right?
