Chatr and IPhone

Anyone here on Chatr in the GVA using an IPhone? My lady wants to get the new IPhone12 when it releases this month, but we are currently on Chatr using Samsung Galaxy devices. Does the Iphone require a special data package like it used to (like 10 years ago I think)?
I tried researching the answer for this on the internet.... but to no avail.
