Chatr has come up with more plans. Not very impressive though. I had originally reported at chatr-mobile-15-plan-250mb-100min-unlim ... 9-2266057/ ,but unfortunately their website says it different.

Same with Lucky - https://www.luckymobile.ca/shop/plans/prepaid except it does not have autopay bonus data

As per this
https://globalnews.ca/news/4956323/cana ... nly-plans/ it was expected that ther will be new low cost plans , but I think this is a joke by Chatr/Lucky again. It is still not very affordable.

Contrary to what is reported here - https://www.canada.ca/en/radio-televisi ... plans.html ther eis no unlimted incoming on the $15 plan. Will Chatr rectify this?
A better option is to go for Public Mobile, or for Chatr's $15 plan with auto pay which will give free data (250 mb) . Remember Public Mobile is now giving $25 each for a referral so if you want to go for it use someone's Public Mobile number and get free $25 in your account. The most value for money plan by PM is $30, or stick to $10 a month for light usage . Autopay gives $2 off every month.

What happens after you use up all your data for the $15 plan? Is it capped at 2G speed, or you get cut-off completely?

I dont think they have edge or 2g network anymore. I think they removed all those towers to cut down on the cost. The reduced speed is very very very slow.
You can still use to chat on social networks like wechat, whatsapp, messenger etc but can barely download any pics.

The reduced speed is approx 64-128kbps on Chatr and about 128kbps on Lucky.

ie. not much faster than dialup but more than enough for email, chat apps, etc.

500MB bonus with autopay

The email we got at work shows unlimited incoming for the $15 plan, but the website doesn't show that.
So i'm not 100% sure if it's actually included

$15 for 100 min, unlimited sms/mms and 250mb sounds decent

It's better than Public $10 50min/50sms if you want more than 50sms.

I hope public adds this plan

If you click on the pay-per-use on chatrs website (https://www.chatrwireless.com/web/content/payperuse) it says the "nation wide talk and text" plan (which the $15 is listed under) has Incoming calls as included, but the original plan page doesnt mention it.

So which is it?
I'm interested to know as well

Are these 3G data plans or LTE lite plans (throttled)?
On Lucky, yes. But not on Chatr

I demand Public Mobile match Chatr’s $15 plan!!!

I always wanted a small data allotment and slightly more minutes but I don’t want to move providers (have referral credits to use still..) yet. I’m on the $10 50 minutes + 50 texts and it not enough... :(

I will actually be disappointed if Public Mobile doesn’t match it.

Hmmm...if Im reading the chatr page correctly,
The $15 plan with 100 nation wide mins + 250mb might just work for my brother.
He uses only 50-70 local talk minutes per month, less than 50 text/mms, and 500mb data.
This $15 plan + $5 500mb data add-on
= $20/month which gives him talk/text-mms and 750mb data. More than enough for him.
I hope i got this right.

I think they will. They always follow Chatr's lead.

Public Mobile 2016 fall promo, $23/1GB, $38/5GB
