Looks like chatr Mobile launched bonus data on their in-zone data plans today.

$40 - 1GB + 1GB, Unlimited Canada-wide calling and International SMS
$45 - 2GB + 2GB Unlimited Canada-wide calling and International SMS
$50 - 4GB + 2GB Unlimted Canada/US calling and International SMS

Additional 500MB of data if you enroll in auto-pay.

Similar to the plans that chatr had early last year.

Seems like its 3G Data, i wonder how slow it is compared to LTE that we have now.

It's not bad. I can stream youtube/etc as long as its not 1080p. It's fine. surf the web with no problem, but I'm paying $25+tax 6gb unlimit everything (grand-father plan) so i'll probably sit with them for a while.

The speed is not that bad IMO.

I had similar deal with mobilicity (and later chatr) but cancelled it because the speed was sometimes too slow for waze navigation and i couldn't deal with zones when driving across the GTA. I heard they have increased the price twice since moving customers from Mobilicity to Chatr

Did your plan price increase?

, it's actually alot better with chatr because there's more coverage under chatr. Speedwise, It's tolerable.

I agree chatr coverage area is larger than old mobilicity coverage area. I have since moved to fido $15 data-only plan for all my data and VoIP calls. I don't do a lots of talking but i need fast reliable LTE data. I also have a virginmobile prepaid line i use for emergency. The best part is my fido data plans are free for one year. $0/month for 6GB LTE data for one year.

Public Mobile has the same plans currently but you're not restricted to zones and they have better service than Chatr. (Bell/Telus towers vs Rogers)

Plus if a Public Mobile customer refers you, you get $10 credit within $72 hours and every time YOU refer a customer, you save $1/month on your bill as long as they stay a customer AND if you do autopay, you save $2/month.

Public Mobile also has $35 1GB (3G data) plan w/ Canada-wide talk and international text for the same price as the Chatr/Lucky talk/text (without data) plan.
