I got the 19.99 bucket delivered today.
Good news it's a 10 piece bucket labeled at 8 piece
Badnews the bottles are different.
No VRP instead you get wheel cleaner
No speed wipe instead you get butter carnuba wax.

I think overall last years bucket is better. VRP is a better product than Diablo tire gel which sucks. But Butter Wet Wax is more versatile and lasts longer per bottle than Speed Wipe which is basically a cheap quick detailer with no real longevity. The average consumer would rather utilize a car wax than a speed detailer. Price is also higher.

I ordered 3 for free shipping if it was the current bucket I'd keep it but I'mma return 3 since the products don't appeal to me I rather have the quick detailer.

I got it mainly because of the VRP, bucket and grit guard then the mitts and microfibre

I'd happily trade buckets with someone if that's what they are looking for.

Yeah maybe larger heavy particles, but the smaller ones will be in the water and lighter ones will be floating or trapped in the foam itself.
Better than nothing, but definitely as foolproof as you're making it seem.

I ordered 3 too, might return 2 and keep 1.

That's my thinking too.
The bucket(&lid) and grit guard are above average quality. Tighter fitment, good depth and smaller openings in the guard do a better job than a standard guard and a typical bucket. You'd need to stack 2 standard style guards to get the same effect I find.
